Professor Emeritus Moon Songcheon of KAIST Appointed as Asia CEO of European IT Society
Professor Moon Songcheon, Emeritus Professor at the KAIST College of Business, announced on the 27th that he is scheduled to be elected as the Asian Representative Director at the 50th Annual General Meeting of the European IT Society, to be held in Paris, France on the 30th.
Professor Moon, the first Korean to earn a Ph.D. in Computer Science, has served as a professor in the Computer Science departments at KAIST and the University of Cambridge in the UK, promoting Korea's IT capabilities widely across Europe for over 30 years.

In addition to his research activities, Professor Moon has consistently fulfilled the role of a science and technology diplomat by conducting dozens of local volunteer activities in developing countries as an expert for the Korea International Cooperation Agency and as an honorary ambassador for the Red Cross.
