LG CNS announced on the 27th that it has signed an industry-academia cooperation agreement with Seoul National University to foster talent in digital transformation (DX).
Through this agreement, LG CNS will newly establish a talent development track in the master's program of the Department of Industrial Engineering at Seoul National University. The educational fields include ▲mathematical optimization ▲AI·big data ▲consulting. LG CNS plans to proactively secure outstanding talent through customized DX education.
Starting next year, LG CNS will select scholarship students among those admitted to the master's program, providing tuition fees and a monthly research support stipend. Additionally, it will offer internship opportunities to gain practical experience, and guarantee employment at LG CNS for graduates who obtain their master's degree through this program.
Separately, LG CNS plans to strengthen joint research collaboration with the faculty of the Department of Industrial Engineering at Seoul National University in areas such as mathematical optimization, data analysis, and production systems.
Meanwhile, LG CNS is accelerating industry-academia cooperation by establishing contract departments with major domestic universities and promoting recruitment-linked internships.
Earlier in April, LG CNS signed an agreement to establish a recruitment-linked contract department called 'Intelligent Data & Optimization' in the graduate program at Yonsei University. Recruitment-linked internships are actively being promoted as well, targeting graduate students from various schools such as Seoul National University (Departments of Statistics, Computer Science, MBA), KAIST (MBA), Korea University and Yonsei University (Computer Science), and Chung-Ang University (Security, Software).
