Geochang County to Hold Online Preference Vote for 2025 Resident Participatory Budget
Conducted via Resident e-Participation until September 6
Geochang County, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 22nd that it will conduct an online resident preference vote to determine the priority of the 2025 Resident Participatory Budget projects.
This vote will collect residents' opinions on 13 projects that were selected through the first and second departmental reviews from among the public projects applied for and received from residents between April and May. Residents can participate by verifying their identity on the Resident e-Participation website from August 22 to September 6.

View original imageThe Geochang County Resident Participatory Budget Committee plans to review and finalize the priority of the participatory budget projects by reflecting the results of the online vote around November.
Gu Inmo, Mayor of Geochang County, said, "I ask for the active participation of residents so that the projects truly needed by Geochang County can be selected through this preference vote."
Meanwhile, the Resident e-Participation website is a system developed by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety to enhance the transparency of the resident participatory budget system and expand resident participation. Geochang County was selected as a pilot local government for the leading resident participatory budget system project in July 2023 and has been utilizing it since then.
