Prime Minister Fumio Kishida stated at last month's Tourism Nation Promotion Ministerial Meeting that "the number of foreign visitors to Japan this year will reach 35 million, and the consumption amount by foreign visitors to Japan will reach approximately 8 trillion yen (7.32 trillion won), both setting new records."
