Samjong KPMG will hold a seminar on "AI-Based Fintech Rebuilding Strategy" for domestic and international fintech companies at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) Conference Hall on the 28th.
"Korea Fintech Week 2024" will be held for three days from the 27th at the DDP Art Hall and Conference Hall under the theme "Opening the Future of Finance with Fintech and Artificial Intelligence." Organized by the Financial Services Commission and the Korea Fintech Support Center, this event marks its sixth year as a platform to share global trends in AI and fintech technology and to envision the future financial ecosystem.
The first session will begin with an opening by Seho Kim, Partner at Samjong KPMG, followed by Heesang Yoon, Manager at Samjong KPMG, who will provide insights on the trends in Korean fintech over the past five years and conversational AI services. Jun Kim, Director at Samjong KPMG, will introduce advanced global fintech cases that are laying the foundation for continuous growth and suggest directions for shared infrastructure to support technological development and business model expansion.
Strategies of companies selected for the "K-Fintech 30" will also be introduced. Jungseok Kang, CEO of Aizen Global, will present an AI Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) platform that connects non-financial industries and financial companies through data fusion, along with directions for overseas expansion. Sangsoon Park, CEO of Fin2B, will share active overseas expansion know-how, including business models that support SME financing and improve capital efficiency through SaaS-based supply chain finance platforms.
In the final panel discussion, chaired by Geunju Lee, Chairman of the Korea Fintech Industry Association, the current status of the domestic fintech industry will be diagnosed. Companies selected for the "K-Fintech 30" will share their experiences in advancing business models based on AI and B2B. Additionally, Haesung Noh, Director at Korea Growth Finance, will provide guidance on directions to revitalize the fintech investment ecosystem, including customized investments aligned with the growth stages of fintech companies.
Seho Kim, Partner at Samjong KPMG, stated, "Although the fintech market has been considerably contracted due to macroeconomic conditions such as high domestic and international interest rates and geopolitical uncertainties, AI, which is being integrated across all industries, will lead the fintech industry to change faster and more comprehensively. We hope this seminar will be an opportunity to enhance the competitiveness of domestic fintech companies and find successful paths for overseas expansion."
