"Wound from a Stray Cat at the Restaurant... The Restaurant Claims No Responsibility"
Injured by a Stray Cat Cared for at a Chicken Restaurant
Conflicting Views: Should Be Held Responsible vs Should Not Be Responsible
A netizen claimed that they were injured by a stray cat cared for by the owner couple at a chicken restaurant but received no apology.
On the 13th, a heated debate unfolded on an online community over this story. According to the author, Mr. A, they visited the chicken restaurant with their dog, and while watching a kitten, a stray cat attacked the dog. Mr. A said, "I was so startled that I lifted the dog, but the cat jumped and continued to attack the dog relentlessly," adding, "After that, it also lunged at me, and when I tried to escape bit by bit, it chased me to the end and tried to attack." Mr. A also sustained multiple wounds on their legs from the stray cat's attack.
Mr. A later expressed disappointment with the restaurant's attitude. The restaurant staff said, "Do not touch the kitten," and "The mother cat is sensitive because she recently gave birth." Mr. A lamented that there should have been a warning sign posted. After returning home, Mr. A found the wounds were deeper than expected and called the restaurant, but the restaurant responded, "We do feed them, but we do not manage them. It is not reasonable to expect us to take full responsibility for that."
Netizens showed mixed reactions to this story. Some criticized Mr. A's actions. They commented, "The cat attacked because it was provoked," "Isn't it obvious since you brought the dog near the cat?" "It feels like they left out parts unfavorable to themselves," "The cat does not attack unless provoked," and "Why should the owner be responsible?"
