Gyeonggi Provincial Superintendent of Education Lim Tae-hee participated on the 12th in a challenge led by the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency titled "Illegal Cyber Gambling Targeting Youth Is an Unbeatable Fraud Crime."

On the 12th, Superintendent Lim participated in the 'Youth Gambling Eradication Relay Challenge,' a public participation campaign initiated by the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, and posted a video on his social media (SNS), emphasizing, "The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education is making various efforts to prevent youth gambling," and "We conduct gambling prevention education at least once a year in all elementary, middle, and high schools in the province."
He continued, "We have also established a system to support counseling and treatment through cooperation with specialized gambling problem institutions such as prevention healing centers and treatment centers," and promised, "We will continue to operate the gambling prevention and eradication campaign, which was conducted jointly by the education support office, local schools, and the police for one week last April, every year."
Superintendent Lim nominated Yoon Gun-young, Superintendent of Chungbuk Office of Education, and Kang Soo-hyun, Mayor of Yangju City, as the next participants in the challenge.
The challenge is open to anyone who posts messages to eradicate youth gambling on SNS and will continue until September 17, the Day for Eradicating Gambling Addiction.
