Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) received a plaque of appreciation on the 12th from the Gwangjin Branch of the Metropolitan Public Service Labor Union (Chairman Choi Ji-hoon) for contributing to the improvement of working conditions for employees of the Gwangjin-gu Facilities Management Corporation.
The Metropolitan Public Service Labor Union is an industrial union composed of workers from public corporations and foundations located in the metropolitan area. Since joining the Gwangjin Branch in 2021, it has been building a progressive labor-management relationship with the Gwangjin-gu Facilities Management Corporation.
Gwangjin-gu is also supporting efforts to improve the working environment and treatment of the corporation’s employees. After conducting cost analysis and organizational diagnosis services last year to propose efficient organizational restructuring plans, this year it contributed to institutional improvements for smooth personnel management at the corporation, such as establishing a long-term service leave system and improving the seniority promotion system.
The plaque presentation ceremony was held with the attendance of Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, Choi Ji-hoon, Chairman of the Metropolitan Public Service Labor Union Gwangjin Branch, and Kang Ho-cheol, Chairman of the Gwangjin-gu Facilities Management Corporation. Chairman Choi Ji-hoon of the Gwangjin Branch expressed his gratitude by saying, “We thank Gwangjin-gu Office for their efforts to enhance the welfare of the corporation’s employees” while presenting the plaque.
