Confirmation of Compliance with Fire Prevention Facilities and Management
Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 12th that it will conduct a special joint inspection for fire prevention targeting waste disposal companies within the jurisdiction until next month.
The inspection targets 76 large waste disposal companies where fires have occurred more than twice or where the amount of stored waste exceeds 3,000 tons.
The main inspection items include ▲ installation and proper management of CCTV for fire prevention measures ▲ management status of waste storage and compliance with proper disposal ▲ availability of fire extinguishers, water tanks, and high-pressure water sprayers for initial fire suppression ▲ and compliance with other waste management laws.
For businesses found to be in violation, plans are in place to file complaints and take administrative actions according to relevant laws, and to strengthen post-management of workplaces by verifying compliance with administrative measures in the future.
