NC Executes Sudden Leadership Changes in Overseas Subsidiaries... Yoon Song-i and Kim Taek-heon Step Down from Business Roles
Former Pearl Abyss America CEO Jin Jeong-hee Appointed as NC America CEO
NCSoft has carried out a personnel reshuffle for its overseas subsidiaries. As a result, President Yoon Song-yi and Senior Vice President Kim Taek-heon will step down from their positions as heads of overseas subsidiaries.
On the 12th, NCSoft announced that it has appointed Jin Jeong-hee, former CEO of Pearl Abyss America, as the new CEO of NC America.
CEO Jin previously served as head of Kakao Games and Pearl Abyss North America branches. He is a veteran with about 15 years of experience as an executive in North American and Korean gaming companies, gaining extensive expertise in Western game publishing and global business expansion.
NCSoft plans to strengthen its global competitiveness through CEO Jin’s deep understanding, experience, and network in the Western gaming market.
CEO Jin said, "I am pleased to join NC, a first-generation Korean game company, in its global growth strategy," adding, "I will do my best to ensure that our game development capabilities and their value are more widely recognized globally and take a leap forward."
Additionally, NC Japan and NC Taiwan will be led by Executive Director Im Won-gi, CBMO. Accordingly, Senior Vice President Kim Taek-heon, who is CEO Kim Taek-jin’s younger brother and had been leading NC America, Japan, and Taiwan, will step down from his positions.
The CEO position of NC West, previously held by President Yoon Song-yi, will be concurrently held by NC co-CEO Park Byung-moo. Following this personnel change, President Yoon will withdraw from overseas business operations and focus on social contribution activities as chairperson of the NC Cultural Foundation.

NCSoft explained this personnel reshuffle as "a decision for new growth centered on each local subsidiary to discover new growth engines and expand global capabilities."
