Bithumb Supports 'Non-face-to-face Account Opening' via App
Available on Mobile Web as Well
Virtual asset exchange Bithumb is launching a non-face-to-face real-name verification account opening service within its exchange application (app).
Bithumb announced that starting from the 9th, it will be possible to open NH Nonghyup Bank deposit and withdrawal accounts for virtual asset trading through the Bithumb exchange app and mobile web.
Virtual asset users had to open real-name verified deposit and withdrawal accounts at each exchange's partner bank to trade virtual assets in Korean won. Therefore, they had to download the partner bank's app separately from the exchange app or visit the bank branch in person to open an account.
To resolve this inconvenience, Bithumb has enabled non-face-to-face account opening through the Bithumb app and mobile. By entering the 'Won Account Connection' within the Bithumb service, users can proceed in the same way as the existing non-face-to-face bank account opening method.
