SK Hynix Executives Deploy to Five Universities Nationwide to Secure Talent
Tech Day 2024 Tour Including Seoul National University
Key Executives Including President Kim Juseon Visit
Meetings with Talent and Sharing of Technology Leadership
Key executives of SK Hynix will visit five domestic engineering universities, including Seoul National University, to secure outstanding semiconductor talent.
SK Hynix announced on the 12th that starting with Seoul National University on the 20th, it will sequentially visit Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH), Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Yonsei University, and Korea University until the 10th of next month for 'Tech Day 2024.'
Tech Day is a recruitment event that SK Hynix has held annually targeting master's and doctoral graduate students in semiconductor-related fields in Korea. Key executives visit the schools to meet future talents, share the company's vision and technological leadership, and discuss the latest technology trends.
This year, President Kim Ju-seon, in charge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Infrastructure, Vice President Kim Jong-hwan, responsible for DRAM development, Vice President Cha Seon-yong, head of the Future Technology Research Institute, Vice President Choi Woo-jin, in charge of P&T, and Vice President Song Chang-rok, responsible for CIS development, will take turns attending as keynote speakers at each school.
SK Hynix explained, "As the company's status rises as a global leader in AI memory and the employee-centered corporate culture gains popularity among younger generations, interest from outstanding domestic talents in the company is intense. This year, even president-level executives will directly communicate with students to broaden connections with semiconductor talents."
SK Hynix plans to organize five sessions tailored to each school's characteristics, including design, devices, process, systems, and advanced packaging, providing time for communication between SK Hynix's top technical executives and students. Additionally, one-on-one mentoring with alumni currently working at the company will be conducted, and small-scale technical seminars hosted by current team leaders will be held regularly after the event.
To continue leading the future AI memory market, SK Hynix plans to establish core infrastructure such as the Yongin Semiconductor Cluster, Cheongju M15X, and advanced packaging production and research and development (R&D) facilities in Indiana, USA. Accordingly, the company intends to strengthen talent recruitment to ensure that excellent semiconductor personnel can be deployed in a timely manner.
