Ulsan Office of Education to Focus Student Records on Learning and Growth
Counseling and Capacity Building Support for High School Teachers
Customized Support Provided Through On-site Visits and Training
The Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Cheon Changsu) is supporting the enhancement of teachers' abilities to record school life records with a focus on students' learning and growth.
The Office of Education conducted "Consultations (Consulting) for Supporting Learning and Growth through School Life Records" for all high schools (including special schools) in the Ulsan region at the Jiphyeon Room of the Office of Education over two days, June 8 and 9.
This consultation was organized to help ensure that school life records are not merely documents of student activities, but comprehensive records that focus on cumulative observation and evaluation of students' growth and learning processes.
During the consultation, consultants were paired one-on-one with each school to comprehensively review the school life records and provide feedback to each school. The consultants consisted of 10 members from the High School School Life Record On-site Support Team.
The Ulsan Office of Education plans to support the enhancement of school educational activities and the restoration of trust from students and parents by ensuring fair and objective school life records.
After the consultation, schools that require on-site visits will receive tailored support through direct visits.
In the second half of the year, training sessions for school life record managers will be held to provide guidance on the consultation content and offer additional education and support. Regular training sessions on student record writing and management, as well as joint workshops, will also be held to continuously strengthen teachers' competencies.
