[Tomorrow's Weather] Daytime High '36°C' Heatwave... Strong Showers with Gusts and Thunder
On Thursday the 8th, most regions nationwide will experience very hot weather with a maximum apparent temperature around 35 degrees Celsius. However, due to the influence of a low-pressure trough, rain is expected in the Seoul metropolitan area, Gangwon Province, and the Chungcheong region.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, showers are expected in the southern regions and Jeju Island from morning to evening on the 8th. Expected rainfall amounts are 5-40 mm in Gwangju, Jeonnam, and Jeonbuk; 5-60 mm in Busan, Ulsan, Gyeongnam, Daegu, and Gyeongbuk; and 5-40 mm in Jeju Island.
Rain is also forecasted in the central regions from early morning to afternoon. Expected rainfall amounts are 10-50 mm in Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi, and the five western islands (with more than 60 mm in some areas along the Incheon and Gyeonggi west coast), 10-40 mm in inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon, 5-20 mm on the Gangwon east coast, 10-50 mm in Daejeon, Sejong, and Chungnam, and 10-40 mm in Chungbuk.
In particular, very heavy showers of around 30 mm per hour (30-50 mm in the Gyeongbuk area) are expected, so caution is advised for potential rain damage. The showers are likely to be accompanied by gusty winds, thunder, and lightning.

From early morning to morning on the 8th, dense fog with visibility below 200 meters is expected in the mountainous areas of Gangwon, southern inland Gangwon, and inland Jeolla. Additionally, fog with visibility below 1 km will occur in most other regions nationwide, so caution is advised for traffic safety.
