Following the entry of 280 workers in April and 106 in June, this will be the last group to enter this year, all on C-4 visas. They will be assigned to 116 farms for 90 days, and are expected to greatly help resolve the severe labor shortage in the region.
Yeongyang County will hold a welcome ceremony for the seasonal workers upon arrival, organize introductory meetings between farm owners and workers, and provide education on key compliance and guidance matters.
In addition, the county plans to conduct on-site inspections at each farm during the initial period to ensure proper working conditions for the seasonal workers and address any difficulties, thereby supporting their stable stay.
Furthermore, Yeongyang County is providing support for drug test fees, foreigner registration fees, industrial accident insurance, and food supplies to reduce the financial burden on both farm owners and workers.
County Governor Oh Dochang stated, "We hope that the additional entry of Vietnamese workers in the second half of the year will bring great vitality to our region, which is struggling with labor shortages, and contribute to increasing farm incomes. We will continue to do our best to secure excellent workers in the future."
