Goryeong County Holds Empowerment Training for Female Farmers
Gymnastics Classes and More, Relieving Stress from Farming Work
The Gyeongbuk Goryeong County Association of the Korean Women Farmers (President: Lee Youngsook) held the '2024 Women Farmers Capacity Building Training' on the 6th, with 50 members in attendance.
The training, held at the Goryeong County Agricultural Management Center, was organized to help women farmers relieve household and farming-related stress and to foster unity and pride among members. The program included a farming exercise class and a cutting board making workshop.
The opening ceremony was attended by Goryeong County Governor Lee Namcheol, County Council Chairman Lee Cheolho, and Gyeongsangbuk-do Assemblyman Noh Seonghwan, who offered words of encouragement and support.
President Lee Youngsook said, "I would like to express my gratitude to our members who balance home and farming work, and I ask for the active participation of many members to ensure the successful implementation of this women farmers capacity building training."

Governor Lee Namcheol stated, "I am always grateful to the Han Yeonong members who contribute to the development of agriculture in Goryeong County as women farmers. I hope this training will provide an opportunity to relieve stress and reflect on health that may have deteriorated due to farming work."
