Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, Emphasizes the Need to Adjust Dong Administrative Districts Amid Confusion
On the morning of the 6th, Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, visited the Mapo District Office's main conference room where the kickoff meeting for the academic research project on the adjustment of administrative districts was held.
In Mapo District, there have been issues due to discrepancies between the boundaries of legal dongs and administrative dongs, as well as cases where a single building holds two parcels of land belonging to different legal dongs, raising the need for adjustment of administrative district boundaries.
At this kickoff meeting, attendees included Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, the Deputy Mayor, heads of departments and divisions, and dong chiefs. Professor Kim Bo-ram, lead researcher from the Korean Local Autonomy Association, presented the research plan and the approach to task execution.
