Nuclear Power Headquarters Launches First Online Contest Website... Applications Accepted Until September 6

Wolseong Nuclear Power Headquarters of Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP) will hold an open call for the 2025 KHNP Support Project for 33 days, from the 5th until September 6th.

The KHNP Support Project is a program established in accordance with the “Act on Support for Areas Surrounding Power Plants” to discover and support various activities in the fields of ▲educational scholarships ▲regional economic cooperation ▲improvement of surrounding environments ▲community welfare ▲regional cultural promotion.

The total budget for the 2025 KHNP Support Project at Wolseong Headquarters is 4.8 billion KRW. In order to promote effective and transparent project operation through the discovery of new projects, ideas are being openly recruited from local organizations, local governments, institutions, as well as from small-scale events and organizations both within and outside the surrounding area.

To encourage activation of the support project open call system and expand participation from local residents, applications can be submitted offline (by mail or in person) or through the first-ever online application site operated by the nuclear power headquarters.

In addition, a support service will be provided to assist local residents who have difficulties in preparing business plans or submitting online applications, and active support will be given upon request for business consulting.
