View original imageAccording to local media including Croatia's Ve?ernji list on the 1st (local time), Mati?'s father was detained by Paris police on the same day on suspicion of sexually assaulting a volunteer at the event.
Reports state that local police received a complaint from a volunteer on the 31st. The victim, a volunteer in her 20s working at the Paris Champ de Mars venue, claimed that after Mati?'s victory, she was forcibly kissed by Mati?'s father.
Local police are reportedly investigating Mati?'s father. Mati? has not made any official statement regarding the incident.
The day Mati?'s father was arrested was the same day Mati? defeated a German competitor in the women's 70kg final at the 2024 Paris Olympics to win the gold medal.
