With an astronomical competition rate of 2.94 million to 1, dubbed the 'Lotto Subscription,' the winners of the non-priority subscription for 'Dongtan Station Lotte Castle' in Osan-dong, Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi Province, were announced on the 2nd. Meanwhile, a post claiming to be from a winner has surfaced on an online community, drawing attention.
On that day, an anonymous office worker community called 'Blind' featured a post from someone claiming to be a winner of this subscription. The author, Mr. A, stated, "I am the lucky man who broke through the 2.94 million to 1 competition rate and won," adding, "Last night, I dreamed that actor Ha Jung-woo gave me a heartfelt handwritten letter." He continued, "I have never won even a common prize at a first birthday party, but such great luck has come to me," concluding with, "I will live diligently." Mr. A's workplace was listed as 'Kia.' However, the authenticity of the claim has not been verified.

I also really want to win, so I applied for the subscription," adding, "The secret to winning is Ha Jung-woo’s handwritten letter dream. Please write me a handwritten letter too. Next time, I will apply somewhere around Gangnam, so please prepare a handwritten letter in advance, haha." Another netizen asked, "Does the actor’s handwritten letter bring financial luck? Could you write me one too?" and requested, "Please come in my dream today and quickly pick six numbers from 1 to 45 and write them down for me," hoping for lottery winning numbers.
Meanwhile, the winners of the Dongtan Station Lotte Castle non-priority subscription were announced at midnight on the 2nd. If they had agreed to receive text messages in advance, winners were sent separate notifications at 8 a.m. that day. This subscription was conducted at the initial 2017 sale price of 482 million KRW, and winning could yield a market price gain of over 1 billion KRW, earning it the nickname 'Lotto Subscription.' A total of 2,944,780 applicants participated. According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport’s real transaction price disclosure system, the recent transaction price for the same area (84㎡) in this complex was 1.62 billion KRW as of October last year, with current asking prices ranging from 1.7 to 1.8 billion KRW. Originally, the subscription was scheduled from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on the 29th of last month, but due to an overwhelming number of applicants making the subscription website inaccessible, the application deadline was extended by one day.
