On July 31, the Qatari delegation met with President Kang Junseok and requested continued exchange and cooperation between Busan Port and Qatar Port, including the attraction of shipping lines.
On August 1, the delegation toured the Busan New Port PR Center and then visited New Port Terminal 7, which opened in March this year. During their inspection of the fully automated port, they asked questions about domestically produced cargo handling equipment and showed great interest in cooperation in the field of eco-friendly smart ports.
BPA President Kang Junseok stated, "I hope that the visit of the Assistant Minister of the Ministry of Transport of Qatar and his delegation to Busan Port will serve as an opportunity to expand exchange and cooperation between the ports of both countries, and that Busan Port Authority will be able to actively support the establishment of smart ports in Qatar in the future."
