Geochang County, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 1st that a joint public-private campaign for price stabilization at summer vacation spots was held in the Suseungdae area, where the Geochang International Theater Festival is taking place. More than 30 participants, including Deputy County Governor Lee Byungcheol, public officials, members of the Saemaeul Library Geochang Branch, and volunteer firefighters from Wicheon-myeon, took part in the event.

View original imageDuring the campaign, local businesses were asked to comply with price labeling regulations and to eliminate unfair overcharging. Promotional materials were distributed to vacationers and consumers, encouraging them to use local products and fairly priced establishments.
The county has designated a special price stabilization period until the 31st, focusing on vacation spots within the jurisdiction. Authorities are inspecting compliance with price labeling, operating a price control situation room, and running a center for reporting unfair charges, all to ensure fair transactions at vacation destinations during the holiday season.
Deputy County Governor Lee Byungcheol stated, "With the peak vacation season upon us, we will strive to foster reasonable consumer prices, increase tourist spending, and create vacation destinations that satisfy everyone while revitalizing the local economy."
