Shinan-gun Targets Convenience Store Market with Award-Winning Japchae Tot Gimbap from World Gimbap Festa
Producing Healthy Flavor Products with Local Specialty Ingredients
Shinan-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Park Woo-ryang) announced that the award-winning product from the 2024 Shinan World Gimbap Festa held in April was launched as a convenience store product, and a tasting event for all employees was held on the 30th at the county office cafeteria.
The newly released gimbap, called ‘Japchae Tot Gimbap,’ was commercialized by Emart24 and launched on the 26th at over 6,000 convenience stores nationwide.

Japchae Tot Gimbap is made by cooking rice with dried tot seaweed, combining the flavors and nutrition to create a product that harmonizes japchae and tot, loved by people of all ages.
At the Shinan World Gimbap Festa Gimbap Competition held on April 27, this gimbap, recognized for its creativity using tot, received high scores and was selected as the Emart24 Special Award, leading to its commercialization.
