Additional Trains During Rush Hours at Sinnae Station on Line 6 in Jungnang-gu
Three Additional Trains Departing from Sinnye Station Starting August 1
Expected to Greatly Alleviate Commuting Traffic Inconvenience During Peak Hours
Jungnang-gu (District Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) announced that starting August 1, three additional trains will operate during peak hours departing from Sinnnae Station on Line 6. This is expected to greatly improve transportation convenience for nearby residents.
Sinnnae Station, which opened in December 2019, has seen about 19,667 households move into Sinnnae 1-3 Districts and Yangwon District, leading to traffic congestion issues during peak hours. There have also been continuous complaints requesting train intervals comparable to those at Bonghwasan Station.
In response, the district prioritized resolving residents' transportation inconveniences and actively pushed for additional trains at Sinnnae Station on Line 6 by requesting cooperation from Seoul Metro.
With this increase, the number of departing trains will rise from 56 to 59 per day. During the morning peak hours (7 AM to 9 AM), the number of trains will increase from 7 to 9, and during the evening peak hours (6 PM to 8 PM), from 6 to 7. The additional trains will be scheduled at 7:12 AM, 8:17 AM, and 6:44 PM.
The district expects that the train intervals will be significantly reduced with this additional scheduling, greatly alleviating transportation inconveniences during peak hours.
