On the 29th, 'International Tiger Day,' Everland Zoo's Safari World conducted an ice enrichment activity to help the tigers stay cool during the summer.
International Tiger Day was designated in 2010 when 13 countries where tigers live gathered for the 'Tiger Summit' to jointly commit to conserving wild tigers, which are gradually disappearing due to poaching and habitat destruction.

During the activity held at Everland Zoo's Safari World, tigers were provided with 'nutritional ice' containing vitamins and electrolytes for nutritional supplementation, and a protein-based 'gelatin ice cream cake' to help relieve the heat. Additionally, flower beds were arranged around the tigers, and a banner made from eco-friendly materials celebrating 'International Tiger Day' was installed.
The Safari World tigers spent a special summer day enjoying ice toys and cakes on the shelter of their enclosure. In the afternoon, the tigers in Tiger Valley also celebrated 'International Tiger Day' with refreshing ice enrichment.
