Gwangju Dong-gu Completes 'Visiting Career Talk Show' Supporting Children and Youth Dreams
Operating Since 2021... Praised for Resolving Curiosities by Meeting Life Seniors
Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Im Taek) announced on the 29th that it conducted a "Visiting Career Talk Show" to support the dreams of children and adolescents and assist them in exploring career paths.
Now in its fourth year, the career talk show provided students from four schools in the district with an opportunity to meet life seniors who have achieved the dreams they aspire to, allowing them to resolve their curiosities.
Dong-gu has been operating this program since 2021.
Prior to the event, the district conducted a preliminary demand survey and invited professionals from various fields that children and adolescents were most curious about, including vocalists, musical actors, culinary experts, announcers, IT developers, forensic investigators, and pet groomers. These professionals communicated directly with the students, providing opportunities to address their questions.
A student who participated in the talk show said, "It was an exciting and enjoyable time to meet people working in fields of interest and gain vivid on-site information," adding, "I plan to work harder to achieve my dreams."
