Daegu Transportation Corporation announced on the 26th that it has revised its public recruitment notice for new employees and youth experiential interns, originally posted on the 16th, to remove regional restrictions from the eligibility criteria. This change follows Daegu City's decision to "immediately abolish regional restrictions" in order to overcome local exclusivity and attract talented individuals from across the country.
The number of recruits has also increased by 20 compared to the original plan, with 142 new employees (131 general staff, 9 public service staff, and 2 security police officers) to be hired. This expansion is to ensure stability in the operation of the newly extended Line 1 to Hayang and to secure personnel for the construction of Line 4.
Applications will be accepted online through the recruitment website from August 8 to August 16. After the written exam on August 25, document screening, personality assessment, and interviews will be conducted, with the final results to be announced on October 2.
Kim Gihyeok, President of Daegu Transportation Corporation, said, "In order to actively participate in Daegu City's public institution innovation for an open Daegu, we have decided to abolish regional restrictions starting with the second half recruitment." He added, "We hope to see strong interest and applications from talented individuals nationwide for an innovative Daegu Transportation Corporation."
