According to the prosecution, Mr. A is accused of hitting the head of the duck 'Geongus' over 100 times on the Konkuk University campus on April 11. Geongus is a name combining 'Geon' from Konkuk University and 'goose'.
Additionally, the prosecution filed a summary order against a man in his 70s, Mr. B, who is accused of pushing a cat with a mop from a villa in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, causing it to fall outside the building from the second-floor stairs.
The Prosecutors' Citizen Committee expressed the opinion that suspects who cruelly abuse animals should be held strictly legally responsible. At the same time, they suggested that specific circumstances such as the suspects' age, economic situation, and criminal records should be reflected in sentencing.
