Gangbuk-gu Youth to Attend International Exchange Camp in Shenyang City
From the 28th of this month to the 1st of next month
Gangbuk-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Soon-hee) announced on the 25th that it will promote the 'Youth International Exchange Camp' by visiting Dadong District in Shenyang City, China, from the 28th of this month to August 1st for 4 nights and 5 days.
The Youth International Exchange Camp was prepared to enhance friendship through cultural exchange between the youth of Gangbuk-gu and Dadong District in Shenyang City, China, and to nurture future talents with creativity and passion suitable for the global era.
Gangbuk-gu signed an international friendship city agreement with Dadong District in 2000 and has continuously maintained exchanges by conducting youth exchange camps in 2019 and 2023. This year's Youth International Exchange Camp will be held with Gangbuk-gu visiting Dadong District.
In May, the district selected 13 participating youths recommended by middle school principals in the area. From the 28th to the 30th, the students will engage in friendship activities in Shenyang City through a program invited by Dadong District, experiencing history and modern culture by visiting palaces, exhibition halls, and museums. Afterwards, they will move to Dalian City to explore famous sites and tour the L?shun Court and prison, which bear the footprints of anti-Japanese independence activists.
