Last year's evaluation assessed compliance with a total of 40 items across three areas: administrative security, technical security, and crisis response capabilities.
To strengthen information security, the Small Enterprise and Market Service has conducted on-site consultations with officials from the National Intelligence Service and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups. A representative from the Service explained, "By improving insufficient areas, establishing security measures for information systems, reinforcing dedicated personnel, and ensuring ironclad security and management of each business system, we were able to raise scores evenly across all evaluation indicators."
In particular, efforts such as "system access control," "strengthening user authentication," and "raising awareness among executives and employees" were recognized for improving information security. This year, the Service plans to continue activities to enhance information protection, including cyberattack response drills, backup inspections, disaster and emergency response training, and security vulnerability checks.
