In Chungju, Chungbuk, a sports utility vehicle (SUV) crashed into a cafe, and the driver then wielded a weapon, killing the cafe owner.

View original imageOn the 22nd, the Chungju Police Station in Chungbuk announced that at around 6:21 p.m. the previous day, a suspect identified as A (51) drove an SUV into a building in Suanbo-myeon, Chungju, then got out of the vehicle and attacked the cafe owner, Mr. A, with a pre-prepared weapon, resulting in his death. Mr. A was transported to the hospital in cardiac arrest but ultimately passed away. The impact of the accident also caused damage such as the shattering of the cafe’s glass windows. Fortunately, there were no additional casualties as there were no customers inside the cafe at the time.
After killing the cafe owner, the man reported himself to the police and was arrested on the spot by officers who arrived at the scene.
