"Where should we deliver your card?"... Voice Phishing Alert
The National Police Agency's National Investigation Headquarters has issued a warning about voice phishing scams impersonating post office delivery workers and courier drivers.
According to the police on the 21st, voice phishing tactics such as approaching victims with phrases like "A ○○ card has been applied for in your name, sir," or "You ordered a kimchi refrigerator; where should we deliver it?" are becoming rampant.
In particular, it has been revealed that scammers install remote control applications to deploy malicious programs and attempt to destroy evidence. They also request victims to activate additional new mobile phones in advance to prevent the crime from being detected.
