Gimhae Public Delivery App 'Meokkaebi' Surpasses 10 Billion Won in Cumulative Sales
The public delivery app 'Meokgaebi' in Gimhae, Gyeongnam, has surpassed a cumulative sales amount of 10 billion KRW.
According to the city, Meokgaebi has achieved a cumulative order count of 390,000 and total sales of 10 billion KRW as of the 18th, since its launch in May 2022.
While major delivery apps recently raised their commission fees to 9.8%, Meokgaebi continues to maintain a win-win commission rate of just 1.5%, the lowest in Korea.
By offering free store advertising and top exposure, small business owners in Gimhae have saved about 1.8 billion KRW in fees over the past two years.
Consumers can also benefit from a 7% discount and a 30% income tax deduction when using Zero Pay public delivery app vouchers.
Currently, new sign-up events, delivery and takeout order discounts, and a 2,000 KRW discount coupon for Good Price Stores are also underway.
A city official stated, "We will continue to provide steady support and promotion so that Meokgaebi can become a key tool for economic development in Gimhae."
