Korea Exchange Table Tennis Team Players Lim Jonghoon and Ahn Jaehyun to Compete as National Representatives at the 2024 Paris Olympics
The Korea Exchange announced on the 18th that players Lim Jong-hoon and Ahn Jae-hyun, members of the Korea Exchange Table Tennis Team, will compete as representatives of the Republic of Korea at the '2024 Paris Olympics,' starting on the 26th (local time).
The Korea Exchange Table Tennis Team consists of a total of 12 members, including coach Yoo Nam-kyu, a gold medalist at the 1988 Seoul Olympics, and current national representatives Lim Jong-hoon, Ahn Jae-hyun, and Kim Dong-hyun.
Players Lim Jong-hoon and Ahn Jae-hyun have achieved notable results in international competitions, such as winning the silver medal in the men's team event at the 2023 Hangzhou Asian Games and the bronze medal in the team event at the 2024 Busan World Table Tennis Championships.
In particular, Lim Jong-hoon raised expectations for winning a medal at this Olympics by winning the mixed doubles title at the 2024 WTT Contender Lagos alongside Shin Yu-bin.
On the same day, Chung Eun-bo, Chairman of the Korea Exchange, met with the players and encouraged them, saying, "I hope that the Korea Exchange Table Tennis Team players competing on the Olympic stage will perform at their best without injury and achieve good results by winning medals."

A representative of the Exchange stated, "The Korea Exchange Table Tennis Team carries out various social contribution activities such as one-day lessons for youth players, support for table tennis equipment, and hosting table tennis tournaments in the Busan area to contribute to the local community and nurture promising table tennis players." They added, "All employees of the Korea Exchange will wholeheartedly support our players to achieve good results at the Paris Olympics and will strive to promote table tennis in the Busan region and throughout Korea."
