Senior Presidential Office Administrator Caught Drunk Driving, Referred to Prosecution
Blood Alcohol Concentration at License Cancellation Level
An administrative officer affiliated with the Presidential Office was handed over to the prosecution on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol.
On the 17th, the Yongsan Police Station in Seoul announced that senior administrative officer A from the Presidential Office was sent to the prosecution without detention on the 15th for violating the Road Traffic Act by driving under the influence. A is suspected of driving under the influence around 9:50 p.m. on the 7th of last month in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu.
After A was caught in a DUI checkpoint and disputed the on-site measurement results, the police took A to a nearby hospital for a blood test, which revealed a blood alcohol concentration at the license cancellation level (0.08% or higher).
