Stonebridge Ventures Completes Series A Investment in 'Aidro'
Stonebridge Ventures announced on the 16th that it has made a Series A investment in aerodynamic tech company ADRO.
In addition to Stonebridge Ventures, K2 Investment Partners, SBVA, Korea Investment & Securities, Bon Angels Partners, Bridge Investment, and Strong Investment participated in this Series A round. The total investment amount is 5.4 billion KRW.
ADRO develops aerodynamic body kits and solutions. ADRO's aerodynamic body kits minimize air resistance for electric vehicles, enhancing energy efficiency and performance.
In particular, when applied to electric vehicles like Tesla, ADRO's aero kits can reduce air resistance and improve energy efficiency by up to 5-7%.
Through this Series A investment, ADRO plans to expand its electric vehicle body kit lineup. The company will develop Aero Optimization System, an aerodynamic optimization SaaS (Software as a Service) platform that supports automotive companies and businesses requiring aerodynamic technology to more easily develop products based on ADRO's aerodynamic solutions.
Yoon Seung-hyun, CEO of ADRO, stated, "The support and trust of investors have strengthened our confidence in our goal to innovate with aerodynamic technology in the automotive market undergoing a paradigm shift toward electric vehicles. We will further solidify our position as a global leader in product development, market expansion, and aerodynamic engineering."
A representative from K2 Investment Partners said, "We are pleased to see ADRO innovating and promoting the adoption of aerodynamic technology in the automotive industry. Their unique combination of aerodynamic engineering principles and automotive design expertise will play a crucial role in shaping the future of mobility, especially at a time when electric vehicle adoption is rapidly increasing."
