G Valley Related Agencies Collaboration Held
Open Innovation for Large and Medium-sized Enterprises
The Korea Industrial Complex Corporation announced on the 15th that the Seoul Regional Headquarters will hold the ‘2024 G-Valley Startup Competition.’ Started in 2017 and now in its 8th edition, the G-Valley Startup Competition is a program where the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation, G-Valley business support organizations, local governments, and universities come together to discover promising startups in future new industries and support their growth.
The winning teams will participate in programs provided by the operating organization, Tap Angel Partners, including ▲investment attraction consulting ▲IR enhancement and pitching consulting ▲mock demo day acceleration programs. In addition, they will receive a total prize of 45 million KRW along with a KICXUP Seoul residency voucher.
Especially from this year, winning teams will receive follow-up support linked with an open innovation program that offers opportunities for collaboration with major large and medium-sized enterprises in industrial complexes.
Eligibility for participation is startups less than 7 years old as of the announcement date. The support tracks are divided into Rookie League for companies within 3 years and General League according to business age, providing opportunities for younger companies to win awards. The competition will proceed over about three months, including the first document screening, first acceleration, second presentation screening, second acceleration, and the third demo day and awards ceremony scheduled for early October.
