"Supporting Growth of Local SMEs" Samil PwC to Establish 'Regional Hub M&A Center'
Advisory Services for Mergers, Acquisitions, and Fundraising
Samil PwC announced on the 15th that it will establish a 'Regional Hub M&A Center (tentative name)' that provides advisory services such as mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and financing to local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) using a digital platform. The initiative aims to enhance the sustainability of SMEs based in domestic regions and contribute to revitalizing the local economy.
The Regional Hub M&A Center plans to build a digital platform that allows local SMEs to easily access M&A-related information and receive expert advice. Additionally, it will closely collaborate with regional financial institutions and local chambers of commerce to help SMEs secure funding more smoothly and receive necessary support throughout the M&A process.
Samil PwC has assigned over 30 experts across various fields, including two center heads, Partners Lee Jong-seok and Shim Yang-gyu. Leveraging years of experience cooperating with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Korea Exchange's M&A platform, the center plans to focus on providing specialized advisory services needed by local SMEs by establishing networks with regional accounting firms and other advisory institutions.
The establishment of this center goes beyond mere business objectives; it is part of efforts to realize public interest values. The core goal of the project is to support the sustainable growth of local SMEs and self-employed individuals and thereby revitalize the regional economy.
Min Jun-seon, Head of the Deal Division at Samil PwC, stated, "The Regional Hub M&A Center will provide differentiated advisory services to small and medium-sized enterprises in regional hubs where it is usually difficult to obtain M&A information or utilize experts. To this end, we plan to make full use of Samil PwC’s top domestic and international expert groups."
