The government stated that it "strongly condemns any form of political violence" in response to former President Donald Trump, the Republican presidential candidate in the United States, being shot during a campaign rally.
On the 14th, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs conveyed this stance in a government statement, saying, "We console the American people who must have been shocked by this incident, and the Korean people stand with the American people."
