"Wigs Are Not a Crime"... Jo Guk, Who Tried to Mock the People Power Party, Posted a Photo and Said 'Oops'
Ruling Party Leadership Candidate Debate Composite Photo Posted and Then Deleted
Jo Guk, leader of the Jo Guk Innovation Party, mistakenly posted a fake image on social media (SNS) that was a composite of a scene from the People Power Party leadership candidate TV debate, and soon deleted it.
On the 11th, Jo posted on his Facebook, sharing a photo from the first round of the People Power Party leadership candidate TV debate's 'OX corner,' writing, "Wigs are not a crime. The hardships of bald people are severe." He also pointed out, "The problem is that this is an issue in the ruling party's convention. It's a comedy."
The photo showed leadership candidates holding OX signs to indicate their agreement or disagreement on political issues. When the question "Is candidate Han Dong-hoon's hair a wig?" was asked, three of the four candidates held up O signs, while only candidate Han Dong-hoon held up an X sign.

It appears he was genuinely mistaken by the composite image and realized it later. Supporters of Jo also expressed regret, saying things like, "Leader, you got fooled."
During that corner, questions such as "If First Lady Kim Geon-hee had apologized for the luxury bag acceptance situation, do you think the general election results would have changed?" and "Should we differentiate from President Yoon Seok-yeol for regime re-creation?" were asked.
Meanwhile, Jo himself became a target of fake news. Previously, an internet user created an account impersonating Jo on X (formerly Twitter) and posted a message criticizing the Korea Football Association, saying "The underwear I took off a week ago is innovation."
