Busan Port Authority Supports Establishment of Technology Leakage Prevention System for SMEs
Agreement with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups... Contribution to Win-Win Fund
Proactive Participation Among Public Institutions, Recruiting Companies Until the 24th
Busan Port Authority (BPA) is stepping up to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in establishing technology leakage prevention systems.
On the 11th, BPA signed an agreement for "Cooperative Technology Leakage Prevention System Establishment" with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Korea Commission for Corporate Partnership at Lotte Hotel in Seoul.
BPA, together with Korea East-West Power, is the first among public institutions to confirm contributions to the cooperative fund and begin supporting system establishment.
Through contributions to the cooperative fund, BPA will help cover costs for SMEs that wish to implement technology leakage prevention systems such as PC/document security solutions, antivirus software, firewalls, and information security cloud services, but are struggling due to financial burdens.
Applications will be accepted from SMEs wishing to participate in the system establishment support project until the 24th.
The target companies are SMEs located in Busan and Gyeongnam. Additional points will be given to companies with records of using Busan Port (such as port facility usage, occupancy in the new port hinterland complex or international bonded goods distribution center) or those operating in port-related industries.
BPA plans to select two companies and support a total of 125 million KRW worth of technology leakage prevention projects.
Of the project cost, 80% will be supported by BPA and the government, while the remaining 20% must be covered by the participating companies themselves.
Further details can be found on the BPA website and the Sangsaengnuri site, and companies wishing to participate may apply through Sangsaengnuri.
