Gwangju Chamber of Commerce Hosts 'WeMeet Project' Meeting
The Gwangju Chamber of Commerce and Industry announced on the 11th that it held the 2024 WE-Meet Project Gwangju-Jeonnam Region University-Industry Meeting at its office training center.
The meeting was organized to share the purpose and objectives of the WE (Work Experience)-Meet (hereinafter WE-Meet) project, a collaborative initiative between the Ministry of Education and the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with local universities and companies, and to promote effective project management.
In particular, 15 participants including executives and employees from four companies such as Oisolution Co., Ltd., and professors from Chonnam National University and Jeonnam Provincial College gathered in one place to identify project themes suitable for the Gwangju-Jeonnam region and explore ways to strengthen the job competencies needed by university students.
The WE-Meet project is an employment support initiative that provides university students with work experience opportunities through collaboration between high-tech companies and universities. The Gwangju Chamber of Commerce and Industry discovers local companies and promotes the project.
Additionally, local universities operate courses and projects, and university students participating in the project directly carry out projects proposed by companies while gaining on-site job experience through mentoring by experts currently employed in those companies.
