Active Promotion of Support Measures from Related Agencies for Vessel Entry
Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority (President Park Seong-hyun, hereinafter YGPA) announced on the 10th that it conducted a fam tour for MSC Cruise officials at Yeosu Expo Passenger Terminal and local tourist attractions from the 7th to the 9th.
This fam tour was jointly hosted by Yeosu City, Jeonnam Tourism Foundation, and other cruise-related organizations, and was organized to proactively respond to MSC Cruise's entry into the Korean market and to attract international cruise ships to Yeosu Port.
The advantages of Yeosu Port, such as the cruise berth conditions capable of accommodating large vessels over 150,000 tons and past cases of large cruise ship arrivals, were introduced, and support measures from related organizations for arrivals were actively promoted.
In addition, major local tourist attractions such as Yeosu World Expo Sky Tower, Odongdo Island, and Nagan Eupseong were visited to actively introduce differentiated regional tourism infrastructure compared to other ports.
President Park Seong-hyun said, "We will continue to expand our network with global cruise lines and travel agencies to ensure that various cruise ships can call at Yeosu Port."
