Dankook University will award Eric Saintrond, Secretary General of the International University Sports Federation (FISU), an honorary Doctor of Business Administration degree.

Eric Saintrond, who has served at FISU since 1985, has contributed to fostering friendship and unity among university students worldwide through sports by organizing the Summer and Winter Universiade and World University Championships for over 40 years.
In particular, he has played a leading role in the development of university sports in Korea by contributing to the successful hosting of the Muju-Jeonju Winter Universiade (1997), Daegu Summer Universiade (2003), Gwangju Summer Universiade (2015), and the bid for the 2027 Chungcheong World University Games.
President Ahn Sooncheol stated, "We highly appreciate Secretary General Eric Saintrond's lifelong love and dedication to university sports," and added, "His insightful leadership and contributions to the internationalization and popularization of university sports, which embody humanitarian values, are in line with Dankook University's founding principles of truth and service, making him a deserving recipient of the Honorary Doctorate in Business Administration."
