HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering Wins Order for 2 Ammonia Carriers Worth 328.6 Billion KRW
Achieved 93.2% of Annual Order Target
HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering announced on the 4th that it has signed a contract to build two ultra-large ammonia carriers (VLAC) with a European shipping company, achieving 93.2% of its annual order target for this year.
The total order amount is 328.6 billion KRW. The vessels ordered this time will be built by HD Hyundai Samho and delivered by September 2028.
Including this order, HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering has secured a total of 118 vessels (including 1 offshore facility) worth 12.59 billion USD so far this year, reaching 93.2% of the annual order target of 13.5 billion USD.
By vessel type, the orders include 8 LNG carriers, 52 PC vessels, 38 LPG and ammonia carriers, 1 ethane carrier, 2 liquefied carbon dioxide carriers, 6 VLCCs, 3 tankers, 2 PCTCs, 1 FSRU, 1 offshore facility, and 4 special vessels.
