Yong-rok Lee, Hongseong County Governor: "We Will Transform into a Place Recognized Nationwide"
Highlights of the Past Two Years Include Attracting National Industrial Complexes
Yong-rok Lee, the governor of Hongseong County, expressed his reflections on the two years since the launch of the 8th term of Hongseong County administration, describing it as "a continuous series of breathless moments aimed at making Hongseong a better place to live."
At a press conference held at the Hongseong County Office on the 1st, Governor Lee said, "I have tried to show administrative changes rather than just words," adding, "Without fearing change and challenges, we have realized the infinite potential and possibilities of our county, completing 54 out of 100 pledges and progressing on 46."
Achievements over the past two years include △ attracting the National Industrial Complex for future new industries in Naepo New Town △ attracting the One-Welfare Valley △ hosting the Global Barbecue Festival △ operating the Chungnam-type Smart Farm Academy △ being selected as a Cultural City of Korea △ and constructing the Hongseong Sky Tower.
Governor Lee emphasized, "Although everyone said it was impossible, we persevered and succeeded in attracting the National Industrial Complex," and added, "Once projects such as the Cultural City of Korea initiative, KAIST Gifted High School, Mobility Research Institute, and Chungnam National University Naepo Campus are completed, Hongseong County will transform into a place recognized not only in Chungnam but throughout Korea."
