A Meaningful Gathering to Honor and Practice Filial Piety with Local Seniors
The Yeongdeok County Association of the Korea Life Improvement Association held the 'Filial Piety Practice Happiness Festival' on the 27th at Chilbosan Buffet in Byeonggok-myeon, inviting about 140 local seniors and Life Improvement Association members to revive the traditional spirit of community and spread a culture of respecting the elderly.

On this day, County Governor Kim Kwangyeol expressed his gratitude by performing a deep bow to the attending seniors before his congratulatory remarks, saying, "I am grateful to the Life Improvement Association for hosting this Filial Piety Practice Happiness Festival for local seniors every year. I hope you will continue to be a model organization for Yeongdeok County through active volunteer work and the practice of filial piety."
Kim Gyehwa, president of the Yeongdeok County Association of the Korea Life Improvement Association, said, "The Life Improvement Association organized this event to revive the culture of respecting the elderly. I hope today's event will be a small seed for spreading the culture of respect for elders throughout our community."
