Wando-gun Selects Outstanding Public Officials for the First Half of 2024
Recognition of the Continuous Efforts of Outstanding Public Officials
Wando-gun, Jeollanam-do convened the Active Administration Committee on the 25th to select the 'Outstanding Public Officials for Active Administration in the First Half of 2024.'
According to the county on the 28th, outstanding public officials who have worked hard for regional development were announced in this selection.
Jo Gang-cheol, Head of the Public Relations Team, Kim Geon-gyu, Head of the Administration Team, and the Gogeum-myeon Welfare Team were named among the outstanding public officials this time.
Jo Gang-cheol, Head of the Public Relations Team, successfully led the development of soju using the local specialty kelp, and the success of this product played a significant role in revitalizing the local economy.
Additionally, the collaborative team, Gogeum-myeon Welfare Team, provided shining welfare benefits to society by directly delivering heating oil to vulnerable households.
After popularity voting and evaluation, a total of nine outstanding cases were finally selected. Kim Geon-gyu, Head of the Administration Team, proposed new initiatives for the public official recruitment exam, securing excellent talent, and was highly rated for these efforts.
In particular, by introducing aptitude tests and an online application system into the new recruitment system, they succeeded in selecting talented individuals.
Accordingly, the method of submitting application forms by mail was replaced with an online system, increasing convenience for applicants and boosting the application rate.
Efforts are also being made to improve the supply system so that necessary benefits can actually reach vulnerable groups. Through this, the outstanding public officials are expected to exert great influence on the local community and residents and play a significant role in future regional development.
