Employees of Hanwha Ocean's Special Ship Division, in observance of June as the Month of National Defense and Veterans, have been conducting cleanup activities and holding memorial services around war memorials located in Gyeonggi Province, including those of the United Kingdom, the Philippines, France, South Africa, T?rkiye, and Greece since early this month. In areas where 16 UN countries engaged in fierce battles during the Korean War, battle memorials have been erected to remember their assistance.
In particular, the United Kingdom and France, which were visited and where flowers were laid this time, are countries that also deployed naval forces including aircraft carriers and warships.
Hanwha Ocean has built more than 40 surface ships and is the only company that has participated in all construction projects of Korean destroyers such as KDX-I, II, and III. In the Korean next-generation destroyer (KDDX) project scheduled for construction this year, the company is fully prepared for the "detailed design and lead ship construction" with top combat ship technology.
