Daerim Seongmo Hospital Hosts the 7th Cheongam Symposium
Daerim St. Mary’s Hospital announced on the 27th that it held the ‘7th Cheongam Symposium’ on the 26th at the Conrad Seoul Hotel in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul.

Daerim St. Mary’s Hospital has been hosting the Cheongam Symposium annually to provide a platform for communication and exchange among partner hospitals and clinics. This year marked the seventh symposium, attended by over 200 participants from partner hospitals, clinics, and the pharmaceutical, bio, and medical industries.
The symposium, which began with an opening address by Kim Kwang-tae, the founder of Daerim St. Mary’s Hospital, was divided into two sessions. The first session, chaired by Hospital Director Hong Joon-seok, featured presentations on ▲Menopausal symptoms and treatment: ‘Female hormones no one recommends’ (Kim Tae-jun, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Daerim St. Mary’s Hospital) ▲How is breast cancer surgery performed these days? (Kang Eun-young, Breast Surgery, Daerim St. Mary’s Hospital) ▲Latest trends in radiation therapy for breast cancer patients (Kim Ju-ri, Department of Radiation Oncology, Daerim St. Mary’s Hospital).
The second session was chaired by Jo Jong-nam, Director of Jo Yoon-hee Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic. Presentations in this session included ▲Always a concern: diabetes medications, when and how is it best to use them? (Yang Se-jung, Department of Endocrinology, Daerim St. Mary’s Hospital) ▲Interesting thyroid cases (Sung Jin-yong, Department of Thyroid Radiology, Daerim St. Mary’s Hospital) ▲Hopeful leap for hospitals and the medical industry: 2024 trend analysis (Jeon Mi-young, Seoul National University Consumer Trend Analysis Center).
In particular, the presentation by Kim Ju-ri, Director of the Breast Cancer Hospital and Radiation Oncology Center at Daerim St. Mary’s Hospital, on the latest radiation therapy technique called ‘Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy’ attracted great interest from attendees.

In his closing remarks, Kim Sung-won, Chairman of Daerim St. Mary’s Hospital, said, “I hope this Cheongam Symposium was a meaningful time to build a solid network among partner hospitals and clinics, explore the latest trends and issues by disease, and discuss the future operational directions the medical community should take.”
